Game Informer (1997)
Game Informer wanted to showcase one of Crash's new vehicles
in
Crash 2, the Jetpack. They also wanted it fast.
Additionally,
they wanted Crash to be naked. We gave it to them.
Unfortunately,
at the last minute they switched from the naked jetpack Crash
to
this image, which they also had.

Game Fan (1997)
The guys at Game Fan wanted something different. They also
wanted
Tiny to be in it. This is one of our favorite images because
Crash
is showing a different emotion than most of the other covers.
The
angle is also really cool.

PS Extreme (1997)
Most call him the baby bear, some call him "snow beaver".
Whatever
you call the little guy, you love him. Crash, it should be
pointed
out, will hurt himself pretty badly when he lands. This image
was
done by Axiom.

Official US PlayStation Magazine (1997)
If you turn this magazine cover upside-down you'll see it the
way we
originally rendered it. The OPM guys wanted the image
flipped.
So we asked them to simply print their entire magazine
upside-down
instead, leave the image the way we did it, and let the reader
flip
the finished mag. They agreed.

Hyper PlayStation (1997)
Our second Japanese cover! The Crash on motorcycle you see
here is
a photo of a scale model, about 12 inches high, which a fan
built
for the magazine. The precision work, especially in the
motorcycle, is truly amazing. The Hyper PlayStation guys gave
the
model to Naughty Dog when we did our press tour of Japan. It
is on
prominent display in our new offices!

Weekly TV Gamer (1997)
This was our first Japanese cover. The rendering of Crash was
done
by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. We liked it so much
that we
incorporated some of the features into the game model for
"Crash
Bandicoot: Warped."

Official UK PlayStation Magazine (1997)
These guys have supported Crash from the beginning. We read
their
magazine, which has a humongous distribution just shy of the
New
York Times', to keep up on UK goings on in the Biz.
|
Official France PlayStation Magazine (1997)
Crash has received a huge amount of success in France, as well
as
many other European territories. We're really proud to have
our
character succeed in France because some of our favorite
characters
as children, like Asterix & Obelix, Lucky Luke, and
Tintin, were
created by brilliant French artists like Uderzo and Herge'.

Electronic Gaming Monthly (June, 1997)
One year after receiving his first magazine cover, Crash has
returned to the forefront of gaming news. This cover
spotlights
one of Crash's new moves...the belly-flop.
|
Ultra Game Players (June, 1997)
Crash's first second cover. The first Crash Bandicoot Ultra
Game
Players issue was the magazine's biggest seller. Can this
Crash
issue replace the king?

PlayStation Power (1996)
This is a great UK mag. We especially like their reviews.
The
Crash on a rocket is one of our favorite images. It was
originally
created for a huge 4x5 foot launch poster for Crash 1.
